It was such a privilege to sit on the panel last night at law firm Mishcon De Reya, to discuss the petition to posthumously pardon Ruth Ellis, presented to the government by her grandchildren. (Swipe for more details & context). I joined @deathpenaltyproject ‘s co-founder Saul Lehrfreund, Jessica Jones who serves as junior council to Ruth’s grandchildren, Mishcon Associate Grace Houghton, and Ruth’s granddaughter Laura Enston, to discuss how important this pardon is, what it means to correct this heinous misjudgement, as well as how differently cases of domestic violence are addressed by our judicial system today. Though as highlighted by Jessica Jones, there are still vital improvements to be made. Misogyny and classism defined Ruth Ellis’ trial, and with key evidence and context being deliberately left out, as well as more evidence that has since come to light, it’s unarguable that this injustice should be reexamined. Ruth Ellis’ family are now waiting to hear the result of Justice Secretary David Lammy’s decision.

NYC for Chanel’s Premiere Galon celebrationnn 🖤🤍🖤 #Chanelpartner
Cliveden literary festival with @chanelofficial & sister (who I have met before despite the vibe of the 2nd picture) 🖤 the library gave me palpitations it was heaven thank u for having me This year @clivedenlitfest was celebrating Jane Austen, 250 years since her birth. When I was 13 I played Margaret in Andrew Davies’ adaptation of Sense & Sensibility so it was lovelyy to read an excerpt from this book on a panel with Andrew and Austen experts 🖤
