After a decade of auditions, side hustles, and warehouse shoots, Michelle Randolph has made it abundantly clear: overnight success is just ten years in disguise. The 28-year-old Northern Californian has spent years quietly doing the work, before being thrown into the deep end opposite Helen Mirren (@helenmirren) and Harrison Ford in the Western series, 1923.
Now, she’s diverting genres to take on one of the most beloved horror franchises in Scream 7. The irony of a self-confessed horror-phobe landing the role is not lost on her. But between night shoots and sub-zero temperatures, Randolph has learned that glamour is rarely part of the job description. Regardless, she’s not about to throw her hard work away for anything. The actor knows how lucky she is.
