Rawan Mahdi believes acting found her, not the other way around. Raised in an artistic home with a supportive mother and a creative father, she was gently guided toward the stage. Her role in Oedipus became a turning point, revealing her talent and affirming her passion for the craft. She credits the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in Kuwait for shaping her discipline, confidence, and deep respect for the art lessons she continues to carry as she grows in her journey.
في حضورها الهادئ وصدقها العفوي، تتحدث روان مهدي عن رحلتها مع التمثيل كما لو كانت تروي فصلاً من حكاية قدرٍ اختارها قبل أن تختاره. لا تبحث عن الأضواء بقدر ما تبحث عن الحقيقة خلف كل شخصية تؤديها، فالفن بالنسبة إليها ليس مهنة بل طريق معرفةٍ ووعيٍ بالذات.
تقول روان إن التمثيل هو من وجدها لا العكس، إذ نشأت في عائلة فنية كان والدها فناناً ووالدتها الداعم الحقيقي لمسيرتها. ورغم صعوبات البداية، كانت مسرحية “أوديب” نقطة التحول التي أكدت موهبتها ورسّخت شغفها بالفن. وتؤمن بأن التعليم الأكاديمي في المعهد العالي للفنون المسرحية كان الركيزة التي شكّلت شخصيتها كممثلة، حيث تعلّمت الانضباط واحترام المهنة واكتشفت صوتها الداخلي بفضل أساتذتها، مؤكدة أن رحلة التعلم لا تتوقف ما دام الشغف موجوداً.
