Wrapped the Ooty schedule of Haiwaan with a heart full of gratitude. @akshaykumar Sir and Saif Sir’s kindness, energy, wit, warmth, and generosity have given me memories I’ll be cherishing for a lifetime. Working with them has been equal parts learning and laughter. With both of them around there is constant laughter guaranteed. @priyadarshan.official Sir’s style of working makes room for the best atmosphere, along with our coolest producers. I ran 42.2 kilometres at the @tatamummarathon yesterday, and it felt very very special. Ten years ago, this race was my first-ever race.. first full marathon… the one that introduced me to endurance sport and belief. Following the 2016 trend, I returned a decade later with countless miles behind me and a heart completely full. The sport has grown so much, and so have I. Those 42 kilometres felt lighter, not because they’re easy, but because of the people. @taras84 beside me with his hilarious commentary, 15,000 runners sharing the road, and crowd support that carried us from the first kilometre to the last. The energy was unreal and the new route and elevation felt great. 42 kilometres is no joke, and I’m deeply proud that I trained for it, even through shoots. This race belongs to a village: @taras84 for training with me, my lovely @adidasindia supernova rise @sportsscientistsonzal for the perfect nutrition, @mirandabrinston for the speed sessions, Nasik support crew @saunskruti @adwait_1957 @uttarakher . @eugeniya.belousova the constant motivator, and my absolutely incredible friends @madhur.patil @aamirrj01 who travelled all the way from Nasik just to be our support system with supplies along with @sharduldonde who cycled all day with supplies. And ofcourse @neurogumindia my energy booster who kept me going through the toughest moments when exhaustion set in. I love this race, and I love this city when it runs. I only hope we solve the air pollution problem, because as running continues to grow, clean air becomes even more essential. TMM took me past my very first finish line in 2016, and it will always be special. Some journeys don’t end at the finish line. They stay with you forever. So come join me next year!
I’ve been a fan of @swanandkirkire long before I had the privilege of calling him a friend. From Bawra Mann to O Ri Chiraiya, thoughts like “Aankhon se kaajal ban behta andhera aaj” in Raat Humari Hai…his words have stayed with me and quietly shaped the way I feel music. I’d been nagging him for years to collaborate on something. One day, he told me he had composed a bunch of songs. I heard Aise Na Humko and fell in love instantly..with the composition and the old world tenderness it carried. We decided to shoot a small, intimate video at my farm @utopiafarmstay in Nashik. But after all the love our characters Pritam and Iravati received in 8 AM Metro, i couldn’t help but imagine this song with them, existing somewhere in another universe. So I shamelessly called @gulshandevaiah78 , whom I’ve always admired from the non-striker’s end. As always, he was a complete sport and joined us on this little journey with so much warmth. The ride became even more special when @doprishipunjabi came on board to shoot and direct the video. With such generosity he brought everything together. This wouldn’t have happened without him. Two years ago, 8 AM Metro arrived quietly..a small film with a big, beating heart. Raj poured everything into telling this story, believing in it with complete honesty.
