Sarah Gilman Instagram – piper did do it, and i got to celebrate her. iykyk. it was a beautifully full circle moment watching pipes dominate the world premiere red carpet at El Capitan this week for her new Pixar movie Hoppers.
a decade ago, we walked the same carpet to the same theater. lucky and grateful and stressed go to premieres we left like charity invites for – disney channel kids that no one knew on a show that not may seemed to care about, just trying to take up a little bit of space—racked with the insecurity of awkward teens trying to grow up in young hollywood, navigating the nascent social media boom. having piper by my side in those lonely moments, just fully getting it, kept me afloat through the lows of it all. helped me stick around for all the good that was yet to come, and to recognize the amazing opportunity we found ourselves in.
so to fast forward to this weekend and to see pipes strut and own this night was a healing moment i didn’t know i needed. maybe one that we both needed.
i love you piper, you timeless soul and i’m so so happy for you and the adventures and jobs to come. through the highs and the lows, and all the haircuts, thank you for always saving me a seat at your table. you always have a spot at mine. ❤️🦫🪵🦎
