And I know that because of the fight you put up for each and every constituent against the unconstitutional and harmful policies of the current administration. You weren’t afraid to stand up to them the first time and you’re not now. Because you spent 8 years on the House Intelligence Committee, serving as the chairman and ranking member overseeing the CIA, and did so with honor. Because you work at that level, and simultaneously champion policies that help us all. Because of the way you push to build a democracy where our tax dollars work for all of us, and where everyone has a shot to succeed at their dreams and a hand to help them get there when they need it. I’ve seen you stand up for service workers, women, small company owners, our state’s greatest industry and our smallest local businesses, and the Constitution itself. Because I’ve been lucky enough to see you off the clock too. A devoted dad, a great husband to Brittany (she’s the absolute coolest and that speaks volumes of you!) and a guy who always makes time for people who want a moment of your time.
