I just cracked the code to @mamadiam.prinsep which is a cool speakeasy tucked behind a bookshelf in a traditional “Mama Diam”. When I opened up the bookshelf to reveal this place, it felt like a scene from a spy movie! 🕵️♀️
A Mama Shop (Mama Diam) is an old-school, nostalgic convenience store found under Singapore’s HDB blocks. This bar pays homage to that heritage but turns it into a speakeasy—a legal modern bar designed to feel secretive, with a hidden entrance🚪📚
They turn local Singaporean flavours into mind-blowing modern cocktails and food. Think Curry Chicken Cupcakes and classic drinks with a modern twist!!
