Today I’m thinking about the women who came before us. The ones who challenged systems that were never built for them and pushed forward knowing they might never see the change they were fighting for.
In fighting for change myself, I learned something powerful. Often the person pushing the hardest isn’t the one who benefits. There are consequences. There is sacrifice. Sometimes the reward is simply knowing someone else will have it easier.
That realization gave me an even deeper respect for the women who paved the way. Every opportunity we have today exists because someone before us refused to accept the way things were. Their courage gave us a better path, and that will never be lost on me.
Today and every day we celebrate the women who opened doors and challenged systems so the rest of us could experience more.
We stand on the shoulders of giants.
