This past Saturday, January 31st, remarkable activists and artists gathered at the Public Theater in NYC to speak and protest in solidarity with Minnesotans and US immigrants. Among those attending The People’s Filibuster were actors Ariana deBose and Peter Dinklage who each delivered stirring, emotional performances of my poetry.
I’m so honored Ariana and Peter chose to share my words at a time when we need our voices heard more than ever. Remember Renee Good, Alex Pretti, Silverio González, Keith Porter Jr., and all those killed by I.C.E. Look out for your neighbors, show love to one another, and keep fighting for what we know to be true: immigrants make our country great.
