Slipping into my prom dress 👗—yes, the one I wore when I was only 17 years old, I felt an immense sensation of accomplishment.
I’m 34 now, so exactly half of my life ago, I recall young, ambitious, free-spirited me tell myself: you’ve just finished high school… the world awaits!
It’s funny how the beginning of every life stage inaugurates a new dream and vision to us; and these desires inevitably shape us and also inspires those around us too.
Today is Women’s Day, and I am reminded of all the beautiful friends, family members, colleagues, and even a strangers who have shown me why each day I continue to love what I do, who I am, and the place where I want to go next.
I also want you all to remember that we are also the source of our own inspiration. I look at the girl from 17 years ago, and I’ve learned so much from that moment until now.
