She was one of the few Black faces seen regularly on TV at the time. She guest starred on many popular shows including: Batman, Bewitched, I Dream of Jeannie, Days of Our Lives, I Spy, Ironside, The Mod Squad, Sanford and Son, and Good Times. She also played opposite Billy Dee Williams, as Gale Sayers’s wife in the critically acclaimed 1971 TV movie Brian’s Song. Her film credits include, Cotton Comes to Harlem and The Thomas Crown Affair. She was the crush of many brothers and teens, who were happy to see a beautiful chocolate sister in the tube. In her personal life, she was married baseball star, Curt Flood and actor, Don Mitchell. The LA native was 83.
