Grandma Lois is now reunited with her favorite dancing partner in Heaven. What a picture that is. 💫
We can all only hope to have a dancing partner — and dance into our 90’s — the way Grandma Lois did.
She was such a gift. So full of fun. She had a way of making you feel like you were the center of her world. She loved her games, her heels, her blouses and jewelry — always perfectly put together. I can still smell her fresh powder and feel her warm hugs.
She spoke softly, giggled often, and was always willing to teach you the steps.
Not every girl can say her grandma had a real, complete dollhouse in her basement — themed rooms and all. It was pure magic, just like her.
She raised five boys, the family she built is part of her beautiful legacy.
She loved that I was a gold medalist… but I think she may have been even more excited about Dancing with the Stars. And after that experience, I gained a whole new level of respect for her love of dance. She had been dancing through life long before I ever stepped onto that ballroom floor.
So grateful for her.
For her love.
For her joy.
For the way she showed us how to dance through life — with grace, sparkle, and a giggle.
