We hosted a screening of Valentina surrounded by an incredible community of Latino artists, storytellers, leaders – and the allies, supporters, and advocates who continue to show up for stories like this.
Thank you to my wonderful co-host @elsamariecollins and our partners at @unitedtalent for helping bring everyone together for such a meaningful evening.
At a time when the rhetoric about our community can feel so dehumanizing, moments like this matter deeply. We see one another. We put our arms around each other. We hold space for truth and for authentic depictions of our shared humanity.
I’m so proud to be a producer on this film and support our amazing director Tatti and our brilliant star @keylamonterrosomejia.
Grateful to Congressman @joaquincastrotx not only for joining the conversation but for the work he continues to do on behalf of so many families on the front lines, and to @jacobsoboroff for helping ground the evening in truth and perspective.
