Lena Waithe Instagram – Peculiar conversations.
When we say All Power to the People, we mean all the people — including the millions of men, women, and children living under jeopardy within this empire’s domestic prison industrial complex.
This is a special moment for radical imagining and collective action, anchored by the fearless artivist @lizajessiepeterson and her searing work THE PECULIAR PATRIOT, produced by myself, now running @bmorecenterstage.
We need you in the room.
We need you to see this play.
We need you to buy a ticket for someone who can’t.
We need you to come and share in this conversation — to lash and laugh, to struggle and smile together — for all our people locked up, locked down, and locked out.
Deep gratitude to @atmamakokos, @comptonauthor for joining us and adding texture, depth, and truth to this dialogue.
This isn’t just theatre. It’s mission work.
