Lotta Hintsa Instagram – A lot of us women have had to work really hard to prove that there’s nothing we can’t do just because we’re women, myself included. Plot-twist, in the past year I’ve found out there’s something extremely powerful that I CAN do solely because I AM a woman. Something more powerful than climbing any mountain or running any distance. And that is being the vessel of bringing life to this earth and now sustaining that life with my body. No wonder why a lot of people say they’ve got nothing left to prove after they become mothers.
And where pregnancy and motherhood can be empowering, we don’t need that to be empowered. All we need to do is bring our femininity in all shapes and forms to all the things we do and we make them our own. It’s not about inserting ourselves to masculine arenas and becoming “one of the boys”. It’s about taking up space as women wherever we go as who we are.
