I live this every day. I understand every second what it means to be a woman forging her own path. I’ve been on my path since my epiphany in 1997. The fire was lit, and I had no idea what was in front of me only that I had I primal need to see how far I could take it. It’s been many seasons since then, seasons of indescribable joy, and devastating lows. But through all of this one thing remains constant. I am the only one that will ever be in my way, and no matter how dark the world gets there is always a space for a candle to burn. I’m so proud of my fellow women in this industry and Anyone who chooses to be their truest self regardless of being misunderstood or not fitting into a box. Life is not kind, you create kindness in the madness, and with these small acts of just existing authenticity, we hold the gate open and create a safer, more accepting existence for those who dare to walk through after us. Our simple, yet monumental responsibility is to hold the torch for as long as we possibly can and pass it on. I love you. I see you. I hear you. I feel you… and I’m fighting for US.
