Thank you so much, @realityofwrestling for Match of the Year! This is such a huge honor. But what makes this even more special is in the 11-year history of Reality of Wrestling, this is the first time a women’s match has won Match of the Year. Last year, when I stepped outside of WWE to build NATTIE, I asked @bookertfivex for space and time to create something very special with an incredible opponent. We wanted to build a STORY that would pave the way for us to have an amazing match. So we got to work. Just like my matches at Bloodsport. Just like my match at @nwa. I prepared for my match at Reality of Wrestling like it was my own WrestleMania: a big fight feel. A chance to create! I told Booker T, “I want an opponent who’s going to push me the hardest. I need someone who can awaken the monster in NATTIE..” He said, “Then you need Promise.” And @promise.braxton pushed me and challenged me in ways I needed to keep growing myself as a performer 18 years deep into my @wwe career. I know we pushed each-other and she reminded me to stay hungry. And to never get comfortable. When you get comfortable, that’s when it’s over. I’m so proud of that match. Marcus jumps at every opportunity to train at The Dungeon, he constantly sends me footage of his matches, asks me for advice and has worked hard on his physique—always pushing to be better every day. Being a professional wrestler is never easy and to really make it, the work never stops. This year during Wrestlemania week, he wrestled nine matches, proving he’s willing to fight for his dream. Marcus has the energy and love for this business that I recognize in myself when I was just starting out. I couldn’t see myself doing anything else. I love being able to share my knowledge with someone who’s ready to put in the work. Keep an eye on him, because I am.
