I have laughed until my ribs ached and sat still long enough to hear myself again. There is a fullness in me now; a tender, courageous fullness. A yearning to embrace and own all of me; the strong, the sensitive, the creative, the curious and the soft. I come home with a heart cracked open and a clearer understanding of the woman I am becoming.
Africa did not change me.
