Vanessa Marcil Instagram – I was raised in a very bad neighborhood. Chicano family members older & younger than me were in gangs, sold drugs, and some are sex workers (RESPECT) to this day. I was beaten by girl gang members and family members. I was sexually assaulted inside and outside of my home. I was in jail and know what it feels like to have my hands and legs chained for my court appearances. Family who aren’t free still need to downplay what we all have had to endure. What we still struggle with in choosing lower companions and trying to save them. Coming from where I came from it is unheard of what I’ve gone on to achieve with my life & what my son has achieved. We have broken the chain. The risks Kass & I are both willing to take in life as artists choosing the path less traveled IS the outcome. The journey, the struggle IS the outcome. Do what you love. Don’t have a safety net. Don’t settle for a back up plan. You will never look back and regret having your freedom. Take the risk. Art is meant to disturb, to disrupt, to make you feel something. If you aren’t willing to feel the bad you will also miss out on the joy. As a woman, If you do the same thing that a man would do? You will be called a bitch. Go be a bitch….. #ImWithYousister @chickmafia 📸 by my wifey of 25 years. ❤️🦹🏻♀️ @kymberly_Marciano | Posted on 09/Nov/2025 00:17:44
