I never thought peace like this would ever exist for me. Not in a million years.
I’ve made my share of bad decisions. I didn’t come from money. I wasn’t taught how to advance my life. That I was worth anything. There were years I hated myself more than anyone else ever could. I convinced myself I didn’t deserve better because of my past, my kids, my age, my reputation, or what people thought of me. It was always “too late” for me in my own mind. So I would self destruct. I gave up at one point.
And now…here I am.
I’ve found a kind of peace, no one can convince me I deserve anything less.
