Arvind Swamy who made a stunning comeback with Mani Ratnam’s Kadal reiterated his prominent presence in par with other leading actors in the industry by playing the antagonist in Mohan Raja’s magnum opus movie Thani Oruvan. The actors fan following increased multifold, thanks to the Siddharth Abhimanyu character that was beautifully etched by the writers Subha and Mohan Raja.
Soon after the success of Thani Oruvan, the actor has got a list of films lined up in his cards in different stages of Production. The actor reprises his role as antagonist in Telugu remake of the movie Thani Oruvan and he is playing the lead role in Sathuranga Vettai 2 opposite Trisha. Arvind Swamy also has Bogan lined up for release where he has acted in a crucial role along with Jayam Ravi under director Laxman of Romeo Juliet fame.
The next project of Arvind Swamy is with director Siddique of Kaavalan fame. Siddique is the one who directed Bodyguard in Malayalam with Dilip in the lead and later remade the same in Tamil as Kaavalan with Vijay and Asin playing the lead pair. Siddique has also directed “Friends” where Vijay and Suriya played the lead along with Ramesh Kanna and Devayani.
Siddique directed a family entertainer “Bhaskar the Rascal” with Mammooty and Nayanthara in the lead. The film became a runaway hit. The director is now getting ready to remake the same movie in Tamil. He is in talks with Aravind Swamy to recreate Mammooty’s Bhaskar in Tamil. Sources close to the director says that there are chances that Nayantara who played the lead lady character in Malayalam might reprise the role in Tamil too.
