Qing Han Instagram – Kohaku River 🐉 • • • (close-up in my insta-story 😊~ I hope you guys don’t mind, I’m probably gonna start doing that more often) Re-edited this painting again~ this is watercolor on a cut-out piece of spare watercolor paper I had • Michiyo Yasuda, who was an animator and color designer at studio Ghibli, passed away. I knew her mainly because she was one of the few more important women figures in a male dominated field of Japanese animation. The ghibli films she contributed to starts at Castle in the Sky (1986) up to the Wind Rises (2013). I remember seeing a video of the making of princess Mononoke where she and Miyazaki went over colour choices for the characters, and everything had to be just the right shade and hue (I think there are videos on YouTube of that). May she rest in peace. • • • Not feeling too well today, I’m taking a bit of a break, I think. MM is kinda breaking me a lil bit here…
