It’s my friend’s birthday today. He would’ve been 28. I’d write some sappy, sentimental monologue to prove how close we were but the truth is: I barely remember the time we spent together anymore. I spent so much time running from his death that I forgot what he was like when he was alive. Hell, I barely remember what I was like back then. I wish I’d cherished our friendship more when I still had the chance; it feels like I put more effort into it after he was gone than when he was actually here. I was so arrogant to think there’d always be time. I’ll miss him until I run out of time too.

This year has been, to put it lightly, fucking ridiculous. It’s so easy to take for granted the amount of bizarre opportunities afforded to me as a “YouTube celebrity”. The latest of which was having my portrait taken by @jimfiscusphoto at the @nationalportraitgallery for the #madeforyou campaign. It’s all so crazy and I’ll never get used to it.
