Lisa Ray Instagram – To this magnificent woman do I owe so much. She has mentored me in being fearless and vulnerable at once. In quelling other voices while you find your own. And to belong, uniquely, irrevocably, uncompromisingly, (even stupidly!) to yourself. Thank you Deepa. This was taken years ago in LA when we were promoting our Oscar nominated film #Water. I muse also at my youthful loveliness and how unlovely I felt at that point in my life. I was searching, spending months in isolated ashrams and retreats, running away from the world and running towards some imagined truth, only to finally understand we are perfect in our imperfection and everything we need is inside us already.
