Alphonse Puthren who debuted in Tamil film industry with his film Neram shared the struggle he went through when he was a budding film maker. Its been 4 years since Neram released and the movie was well received by the audience as well as critics. The movie had Nivin Pauly playing the lead opposite Nazriya Nazim while Bobby Simhaa and Naasser played important roles in the movie.

In one of Alphonse’s posts where he talked about Neram movie, one of his fans commented that he hopes he directs Ajith one day, Alphonse gave a long reply that took us into his struggling past when he was a budding filmmaker. He said how he waited in front of the actor’s house for three to four hours to meet him around 10 years back when he was still a college student.

His reply was that “I remember me and my friend waiting for 3 hours in front of #Thala Ajith Kumar’s home ….nine to ten years ago when I was studying in S.A.E college Nungambakkam. Couldn’t meet him then nor till now. The wait might be for the best film…I’ll wait till the Neram comes in my life to do a film with him. May be i have to prepare more as a director to deal a great actor like him. That story which I wrote was not that interesting after I saw the film called “Once upon a Time in America” A Sergio Leone film. My story was the most horrible version of that film 😀 . So I chucked the Idea. :D. And the title was ” Aappu” – 100 percent return guarantee.”

He said, He might be waiting for good time to take a good story to him. He also hinted his Neram film in the process. Unlike other celebrities, Alphonse Puthren doesn’t keep it to himself when it comes to interacting with fans. He has been very much open minded about interacting with his fans through his Facebook account. His last outing Premam in Malayalam was a great blockbuster that it not only managed to impress the fans from its origin state but also was declared a hit in Tamil Nadu as well. Premam saw a good 200 day run at the box office in Tamil Nadu, the first for a Malayalam film to mint such a success.
