Amala Paul is the happening actress in the recent times. With the sequels of VIP and Thiruttupayale already on floors, the actress is also doing Bhaskar Oru Rascal with Arvind Swamy in the lead. Bhaskar Oru Rascal is the Tamil remake of the Malayalam super hit Bhaskar the rascal. Director Siddique who is known for his movies like Friends and Kaavalan in Tamil has directed the original in Malayalam. He will be handling the megaphone for the Tamil version too. The original movie had Mammooty and Nayanthara in the lead.
VIP 2 is directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth, unlike the prequel which had Velraj as the director. The story and dialogues were by Dhanush, who plays the lead role Raghuvaran in the movie.
Added to this the VIP actress also has Minmini with Vishnu Vishal and another unnamed project in Kollywood. Minmini is touted to be a cop thriller where Vishnu Vishal plays the young cop.
Amala Paul has also signed the remake of Bollywood super hit Queen in Malayalam and another project titled Acchayans. She is also said to play an important role in another thriller movie in Malayalam.
The remake of the movie Queen will be directed by actress turned director Revathi. She will also be doing the Tamil remake which will have Tamannah playing the lead role. Critically acclaimed movie Queen also fetched several awards for the protagonist Kangana Ranaut. Actress Revathi will be debuting as a director with this remake in both the industries.
