Bollywood star Abhay Deol is all set to make his debut in a Tamil movie. Tentatively titled as “idhu vedhalam sollum kadhai”, the movie is to be directed by Rathindran Prasad. Critically acclaimed actor Guru Somasundaram, Ashwin Kokumaru and Aishwarya Rajesh are said to play the lead role in the movie.
Abhay Deol will shoot his scenes from tomorrow (29th of May). The team has recently completed a photoshoot with the actors, and the team will start shooting the scenes of Abhay Deol in Hyderabad from tomorrow. The team has already completed major portion of the movie and Abhay Deol is said to play an important cameo in the movie.
Abhay Deol is known to Tamil audience with his role in Ambikapathy which was Tamil dubbed version of Dhanush’s first Hindi film Raanjhanaa. He has been in the news lately for his comments on advertisements that support fairness in skin color.
Talking about her costar, Aishwarya Rajesh said that Abhay is a sweet person and is happy to share the screen with him. Her tweet read “Such a sweet person, Abhay Deol. Photo-shoot for ‘Idhu Vedhalam Sollum Kadhai’,” Ghibran has composed tunes for the movie.
While asked about the choice of Abhay for the cameo role, the director said, “We were looking to cast some well-known Tamil actor for this role, but I wanted this cameo to feel fresh. So, I went to Mumbai and pitched it to Abhay. He was not sure initially and so, he watched the film and became convinced,”
Aishwarya Rajesh was last seen opposite Sibiraj in his Kattapava Kanom. She is also sharing screen space with Guru Somasundaram of Joker and Aaranya Kaandam fame who was last seen in Krishna’s Yaakai.
