Rajinikanth who has just finished his portions in Shankar’s magnum opus 2.0 will soon kick start his next with director Pa.Ranjith. The Kabali duo announced that they will be doing a movie together after the completion of 2.0. Producer turned actor-director Dhanush reported that he will be producing Superstar’s next under Ranjith’s direction.
While Thalaivar161 has been given as the working title, the movie has got Santhosh Narayanan as the music director. Earlier it was rumoured that the movie is loosely based on a Mumbai based don. However the makers brushed away the rumours and Dhanush announced that the movie will go on floors from the month of May. It was earlier reported that Ranjith was stationed in Goa for some time to finish the scripting of his next.
Major portions of the movie are said to be based in Dharavi area of Mumbai. The makers have decided to erect massive sets replicating Dharavi in Chennai. While the process of erecting the sets are nearing completion, the movie will move into production from 28th of May.
Rajinikanth’s last outing Kabali was well received worldwide and it also set new benchmarks at the box office. Kabali had Rajinikanth and Radhika Apte playing the lead roles, while Dhanshika, Mime Gopi and Kalaiyarasan played important roles in the movie. Santhosh Narayanan composed music for Kabali. Rajinikanth who was very much impressed with the outcome of Kabali, agreed to do another movie with Ranjith. The duo is much expected to create the magic of Kabali again.
