Varalaxmi Sarathkumar has got a couple of films to her name which are under different stages of production. Varalaxmi signed a movie tittled Vargam under the direction of debutante Saalai Indrajith who had earlier worked under ace director S.S.Rajamouli. Indrajith had also worked as a co-director for Vijayendra Prasad, the famous writer in telugu who has films like Baahubali and Bajrangi Bhaijaan to his credit.
Titled as Vargam, the movie is said to star R.K.Suresh and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in the lead roles. While not much was revealed about the script, the actress however reveal their plan of shooting the entire movie within a day. The team have started rehearsing for the same and have planned to go on floors after about fifteen days of rehearsals. While the team’s main target is to finish the complete shoot within one day. The shoot could extend for one or two days if the team misses on the target.
The movie which is said to be adapted from a play will be a rural subject where Varalaxmi gets to play the village damsel. The critically acclaimed play is said to have won over five awards and has received appreciation from ace director K.Balachander.
The team will be going to production from 25th of May said the actress and the shoot is planned somewhere in the outskirts of the city. The project is being funded by Drumstick Productions.
It is interesting to note that R.K.Suresh had played baddie in the critically acclaimed Thaarai Thappattai in which Varalaxmi played the lead heroine. Varalaxmi also has Nibunan, the 150th film of actor Arjun getting ready for release in which she plays an important role. She also plays a pivotal role in the upcoming remake of Telugu super hit Kshanam which has Sibi Sathyaraj in the lead.
