Kajal to replace Tamannah in Tamil remake of Queen

Tamannah who has earlier signed to play the lead role in the Tamil remake of Queen has now reportedly walked out of the project. While the exact reason for her decision were unknown the makers have now signed Kajal Agarwal to play the lead role in the movie. Actor Thiagarajan bought the remake rights of the movie in all the four South Indian Languages.
it was earlier reported that actress Revathi would be directing the flick in all the four languages while actress Suhasini will be penning the dialogues. However things took a sudden turn and the director for the movie was replaced. The makers have now officially declared that actor Ramesh Aravind who directed Uthama Villain would be directing the flick in Tamil and Kannada.

 

After the walk out of Tamannah, Kajal has been signed to play the lead role in Tamil and Parul Yadav will be playing the lead in Kannada version of the movie. The original movie Queen received much critical acclaim upon its release and the lead actress Kangana Ranaut received National award for best actress for the movie that year.

 

Actress Amy Jackson who rose to fame with Madarasapattinam will be playing an important role in the movie says sources. If the sources are to be believed, Amy might be playing the character of Vijayalakshmi in the movie which was enacted by Lisa Haydon in the original version. Amy has been signed to play the same role in all the four languages sources say.

 

It was earlier reported that Amala Paul had been signed to play the lead role in the Malayalam version but there has been no updates about the Malayalam or the Telugu version.
