Samuthirakani’s role is as important as protagonist says, director
Samuthirakani who agreed to be a part of Vetri Maaran’s Vada Chennai will be having an equally important role as the protagonist says sources. Vada Chennai touted to be a gangster movie based in North Chennai will be made as a trilogy says sources. Vetri Maaran who has earlier directed movies like Polladhavan, Aadukalam and Visaranai announced that Vada Chennai would be a game changer in both his and Dhanush’s filmography.
The first schedule of the production for the movie just got over in the massive jail sets that were erected in the city. The crew is expected to start their second schedule by next month. After much changes Aishwarya Rajesh will essay the female lead role, while Andreah, Samuthirakani, Ameer and Kishore were expected to play important supporting roles.
It was earlier reported that Vijay Sethupathi will be playing an important role in the movie, however reports said that he had reportedly walked out of the project citing date issues. Ameer is replacing Vijay Sethupathi’s role said sources. When VetriMaaran was questioned about this he confirmed the news of Ameer enacting an important role in the movie while he didn’t make a comment about if Ameer replaced Vijay Sethupathi in the promising role.
We also learnt from sources that Samuthirakani’s role in the movie will be as important as the protagonist Dhanush’s role in the movie.
Samuthirakani is also playing the father of Dhanush in his upcoming VIP 2. He is also a part of Rajinikanth’s Kaala and is said to play an important role.
