Follow @healinghideaway_bindiyamurgai to see the other ways in which you can support the unique, gentle yet feisty people (largely Buddhists) of #Spiti This is an amazing little primary school in Demul (Spiti), started by Sapan Foundation. The kids come from really underprivileged families, but are a real spunky lot. Sure they’ll do fabulously well if they are educated and given the right opportunities. This school in presently run out of a small room. They have some really dedicated and enthusiastic teachers who are doing their best to provide these children with elementary education. Kids get to learn, eat and play, but funds are scare and contributions are very welcome. Even if you can pitch in the what you’d pay for a dinner-for-two at a decent restaurant, it will go a long way for these kids. As of now, they don’t even have chairs, desks, or basics that one otherwise takes for granted in a school.
