Sayyeshaa Saigal who debuted in Tamil film industry with Jayam Ravi starrer Vanamagan has been signed to play the lead female role in Karthi’s upcoming film with National Award winning director Pandiraj. Bankrolled by Suriya’s 2D Entertainment, the movie is currently in its final stages of pre-production and is expected to go on floors in a couple of months.
Sayyeshaa Saigal who played the role of a rich kid in Vanamagan will be seen as a native village girl in the upcoming film. The story is touted to be a rural subject and the whole film will be based in a village, says sources. Sayyeshaa is currently in Paris shooting with Vijay Sethupathi for the movie Junga under Gokul’s direction.
We also learnt that the story needs two other female leads to play important role in the movie, of which Anupama Parameshwaran has been finalized for one of the roles. The team is in talks with Priya Bhavani Shankar, who rose to fame with the recent Meyaadha Maan movie to play the other supporting female role.
Anupama Parameshwaran rose to fame with the Malayalam film Premam and she also played the lady love of one of the lead characters in the movie Kodi with Dhanush. National award winning director Pandiraj’s last outing was Kathakali that had Vishal in the lead.
