Few roles come along & expose one to a whole different journey they never knew even existed. This was definitely one. I admire the real war-photographers out there. There courage to expose truth/injustice without force. Just a camera..But at a price as well, the inner struggle to seeing maybe the worst part of humanity on a way-too-often basis. That had a lot to do with Kevin Carters’ tribulations. And escaping them cost him his life. He photographed with his heart on his sleeve, wanted to expose an injustice so prevalent to there communities at the time, but not the world…. yet. These guys contributed to the first free election in South Africa in ‘94. Very humbling being a part of and hearing there stories… Great book as well. “The bang bang club” Film by the same name. Well. Looks like #onlythebrave getting a second wind. We are all proud of this one… Love learning about this form of fight n couldn’t of had more fun with the crew & cast and of course the Hotshots that trained us. Class acts. Literally couldn’t have done this w/out y’all. Never got to meet or hang with ‘Mack’ but I know we woulda laughed a ton:) Huge heart on him. His smile infectious. Funny! 10yr vet. Father a retired captain. Was born to do what he did. Absolutely loved his job. Thank @donut_928 for entrusting me with this. Was an honor. And thanks to all the first responders and their families. Best $1200 ever spent. Dug ditches to get. Drove down to LA. Turned into my home.Delivered cookies.The paint color has never been duplicated. Engine ran off of orange marmalade and auditions I bombed. Racing tires are self explanatory.It also had a full California king bed in back. Rain shower/steam. Washer/dryer. And I’m legally not allowed to tell y’all what was under the hood. Sound system casually made ears bleed. 0-250 in 3.65sec(in snow). Forever grateful for that Pontiac Firefly…the Grind is the best part.
