Jason Isaacs Instagram – A week now since the staff, volunteers and inhabitants of the Red Cross Refugee Centre in Turin, Italy, opened their gates and their hearts to me. What could have been soul-destroying histories of slaughtered families, slave labour camps and sex trafficking were shared only to show me how far they’d come and how far they intended to go: learning languages, mastering trades and embracing their futures as valuable members of the community that had embraced them. A week during which their gratitude and optimism has infused my every activity and encounter. Get involved if you can, where you can, however you can. You’ll be glad you did. @britishredcross
