Ashish Vidyarthi Instagram – Let’s do some role play today.. Let’s play Doctor Doctor.. There has never been a debate on the value of doing anything with precision.. Let’s look at two steps preceding it, that add dimensions to this precision… A method we shall illustrate by playing Doc… Ready Doctor? Aspects beyond the obvious appear magically, when we invest in taking a deep look at anything we are dealing with. It’s a whole lot like diagnosis, that medical Doctors are known for. They look deeper than the narrative given to them by the patients.. They know the difference between the symptoms and the deeper cause. They spend time delving into aspects to get the right diagnosis, for they know, that is what shall determine the action they shall prescribe. The next step Doctors take is also wired in very early on in their training… to be in communication with others. This is not just to share what they have observed (diagnosed) , but also to hear other experts opinions. Anything that can light up a lacuna for them. Communicating wide allows us to share our perspective with a larger set, such that they are in the loop, while at the same time it allows them to add their perspective to our understanding.. We never know where the gold vein maybe. And finally ofcourse is the action, the precise one that a doctor takes.. Knowing fully well that in whichever way… A life is at stake. The Doctor will be known for effectiveness she has, in impacting critical issues. As we invest ourselves in thinking deep, we increase our expertise to look beyond the obvious.. As we then follow it with communicating with our teams and all concerned, our understanding of the topic is further illuminated by others point of view. This also gives the team a stake in the precise action that shall now follow. An action which is precise and powerful and for which we take complete Accountability and ownership . This is my take..
