Lisa Ray Instagram – In the interest of sourcing images for my book #ClosetotheBone I’m confronting all my selves, like this image circa 1998; I can clearly see the ways in which I’ve reinvented myself, hidden behind makeup and image or adapted myself to the ever changing perceptions of what’s beautiful or glamorous or sexy or ‘now’. Takes a lot of effort to cover your essence and I’m so fucking grateful for age: both the age we are living in today and my age- 46- which has liberated me from being anyone but myself.
