Had to share this! As a feminist who is vocal about her thoughts, I don’t think enough has been said about the mild patriarchy that has still been a part of Indian weddings. Some of the rituals that we see through the weddings sometimes are a little redundant to say the least. While I love, and respect traditions, I just wish women would make these rituals their own instead of following through without a question being asked. “Kanyadaan” – where daan = donation. I am sure we have come a long way to know that we will always remain a daughter to our parents, no matter what. No ritual can ever dictate the terms of our relationship with our parents. Which brings me to talk about this great digital wedding that is happening. Anjali decided to take matters into her own hands and redefine rituals her own way. I am so excited to be a part of her big day!

I remember seeing the Lebua Lucknow @Lebua lucknow heritage property for the first time and falling in love with it right away! My brother Ishan has just proposed to his then girlfrien @bhoomilogy that week- and one look around Lebua and I was just like- this is where we the groom’s side are going to stay and have all our functions. And it was literally the best decision ever.. Lebua became and felt like home for those 3-4 days.
