Some of the rituals that we see through the weddings sometimes are a little redundant to say the least. While I love, and respect traditions, I just wish women would make these rituals their own instead of following through without a question being asked. “Kanyadaan” – where daan = donation. I am sure we have come a long way to know that we will always remain a daughter to our parents, no matter what. No ritual can ever dictate the terms of our relationship with our parents.
