Lisa Ray Instagram – Now reading #WomenRowingNorth ~ Cause that’s just me. Happily and cheerful rowing north at 47. Many specific parts of my body are going north as well, but that’s a different story. I’m relishing this wise, no-fucks-to-give, ‘should-less’ phase, where we women in particular stop seeing ourselves as merely units of production, serving others and hoping for scraps of validation from men and the world. Of course this realization has come after years of struggle and a brazen conviction that a life lived on my own terms is the only life worth living. ~ Here’s the thing: there’s no limits to growth if you ‘keep a green, growing edge’. My first book comes out shortly, I’m a new mom, we are moving home to Mumbai, somehow I’m working on cool, stimulating projects in front of the camera, I find myself in a new speaking career delivering motivational talks and you know what, I damn well give myself a break and eat that extra piece of chocolate ganache when I please.
Lisa Ray Instagram – I know our pleasures are fickle and our life is fleeting but this frame pretty much sums up a perfect source of happiness. Catch em when they’re young. Hold on. But know one day you have to let go. #youllfindmeinthekiddiepool
