Like for me, I noticed that the vows exchanged on every wedding were narrated by someone else and had really sexist connotations. It dint feel like it was about two people starting a journey together as equals. Imagine so many couples, taking the same vows over and over again without even understanding the meaning behind them. I didn’t want to be one of them. Akshay and I wrote our own vows, we included our own promises to fill our life with love, respect and appreciation for each other.
