Lisa Ray Instagram – This image from 2010 perhaps captures my cancer journey ‘back to life’ best: back in the trenches a few months post my stem cell transplant, rocking my chemo cut in a faux fur vest and supporting an initiative that fights for girls rights around the world. Oh and slurping a healthy smoothie. I am a bundle of contradictions and cancer helped me embrace all my myriad facets. We don’t immediately understand in our darkest moments how they lead to setting down the baggage of many years and walking forward lighter and a more authentic (and bad ass) version of our selves 🙏🏼
