We joined 450 Houstonians (that’s Houston, TX) to help celebrate @tahirihjustice commemorating 10 years of service to the community. @dr.joydegruy helped us reflect on our country’s legacy of racism and oppression, the importance of not repeating our history of separating children, and the urgency of lifting up women of color as we work to create a more equal world. The staff at @tahirihjustice are incredible, and hearing from their Courageous Voice honoree, Maria, a resilient indigenous woman from Quiché, Guatemala was inspiring (not pictured per her wishes).
