Intimate photo here—this is what I was doing exactly 10 years ago to the day. I was in labor with my Wills! Yes I am aware that I don’t look pregnant here—But I was! In this moment I was very quiet and zen just trying to focus and let the contraction pass. Look at Richie! 🤣 He cracks me up as he snaps a photo of our favorite nurse who came to the hospital at 3am just to help deliver Wills! She is special. Yes this is 3am. I had been there since 10pm. I was tired as shit since I had worked at AMC that morning before and had not slept. But they giggled and kind of made a party of it as they sat and waited for this kid to come. When I was 16 I went to the Bahamas with my church youth group to help and teach the little Bahamian children. It was some of the best times of my life! We went there for a few years. I still remember the names of so many of them and cherish the times we had with them. They are warm and amazing people. In the wake of #hurricanedorian I am thinking about them all and wondering if they are all ok or even alive. My heart is heavy.
