Each November I choose the art medium I enjoyed most throughout the year and do a craft for my family and gift exchanges! 2017 I did watercolor canvases, last year I did metal work and wire jewelry. In 2019 I fell back in love with pyrography aka wood burning 😍 it is such a relaxing medium. You have to go so slowly over each line and get the temperature just right… I just love it! If anyone wants to get into wood burning, @elysianwoods has a great intro to woodburning book that was super helpful in picking wood burning back up. I used @walnuthollow ‘s creative burning tool (Hobby Lobby had a killer sale when I bought it).
