It always puts a smile on my face & warms my heart when people dress up as Tracy for Halloween, it shows me that they didn’t just see the movie and dance and sing to it but it shows me they learned from her & they took something away from her message. Tracy’s message of love and acceptance for all should be something we all practice every day. The 1960’s were a tough time for our country and it saddens me that so many years later things aren’t in much of a better state but one of the most important things I learned from Tracy was to stand up for what you believe in, we can either spend our lives complaining about the state of our nation or we can stand up and be fearless leaders and do something about it. Lead by example, by being good, loving, accepting people. I urge You all to find your inner Tracy and fight for what’s right. As Tracy famously says in Hairspray “things need to change and I won’t stop trying to change them I don’t care how long it takes” if we all have this mentality and spirit we can go along way in life and make this world a better place.
