Water is an inorganic, transparent, tasteless, odorless, and nearly colorless element, which is the main constituent of Earth’s hydrosphere and the fluids of most living organisms. It is vital for all known forms of life, even though it provides no calories or organic nutrients. . Water is essential. We run our taps now more than ever as we wash our hands frequently throughout the day to mitigate #covid. We drink up to 8 glasses a day to stay hydrated. It has been used in #baptisms since the start of #christianity – performed by sprinkling or pouring water on the head, or by immersing in water. Earth is the only known planet in this universe to have water. Our bodies are made up of 2/3 water and we can’t survive more than three days without it. Approximately 1.1 billion people lack access to safe drinking water. 2.6 billion people lack adequate sanitation. 1.8 million people die every year from diarrhoeal diseases, including 90 % of children under 5. There are currently 5 trillion pieces of plastic waste in the world’s oceans, according to The Ocean Cleanup @theoceancleanup , a project dedicated to ridding the ocean of waste. . As we consider our blessings on #eastermonday, let’s be mindful about water. It is our most precious life sustaining resource.
