Cannot even imagine what the state of the homeless must have been, or the millions with semi permanent homes or every other area the cyclone would have ravaged. The plant and animal life too. Needs immediate attention and major government support. I hope my friends in the media from my list can please take note and use their voice to bring attention to this. We don’t watch TV, but seems like there’s little about this major calamity being reported out there.

Lisa Ray Instagram – I STAND WITH BENGAL #CycloneAmphan is an unimaginable tragedy within the #Covid_19india war. May we all humbly request the central government to have mercy & shift some of its focus to provide disaster management to one of our greatest cities @PMOIndia Anyone who knows me, knows it’s my Bengali blood that leads my conviction for just and humane conditions in this world. Now we need a call to action for my beloved ancestral land. I know we’re suffering from disaster fatigue due to COVID-19 but perhaps you can help by issuing an appeal to on social media to The Central government? Or consider supporting one of the many relief organisations in the ground? Numbers count. Thank you @justmoilife for issuing a strong moral wake up call in my direction.
