Aparnaa Bajpai Instagram – Do you really change your reality, if you change your perspective? Well, may be yes if you don’t really care about how others perceive you. In other words, their opinion on your life doesn’t dictate your present & thus your reality. But do we really do that? Has it been more of an idea to feel good about when we tell ourselves well this is my belief, my life and my truth whereas in reality; we often are looking for outside validation to conform to what we perceive the truth is. How is it that we find what real is ?
Psychology says there is an Objective reality out there no matter what you think of a particular situation. In a way true, with respect to daily decorum and functioning of life as it is. We sleep, eat & do work in our wakeful state which involves working with people and there is a big fraction of Now which is on the play (which is what’s really happening at that moment from a larger perspective) no matter how two people are perceiving the same situation.
But in a way No! Which is my favorite topic. When I am always lost between the Self & the ego!!
I believe you can Not truly shape your own reality & totally live it till the time you’re wanting approval or others to agree with your reality. The ego is always looking for validation whereas as the Self is always at peace with how things are.
What does that mean? That means what we think our reality is, is often masked and influenced by what our ego wants us to believe. No matter how happy a particular situation is, if our ego is playing victim and wants to sulk; it will always put up a sorry face and make us feel miserable even in a relatively happy situation. So says psychology, when we want to believe our truth as the only truth; we go searching for any evidence to confirm it! #confirmationbias
Although, I do believe that I am the master of my reality and how others perceive me, doesn’t change my reality. But, that happens only when I’m Not operating from the mask of my ego. When I see without the filter of my mind games. When I see from a place of surrender. When I see through the self. When I choose to see the Now & none of the before and after expectations of ‘the reality’✨
