My heart hurts for America right now. I no longer live there but I spent so many years there that it feels like home and to see it in pain like this breaks my heart. Black lives matter … white privilege and white supremacy must be confronted and defeated and it must be done by all. I don’t know what else to say… I just feel so deeply sad at the state of the world and the state of some people’s hearts. To believe you are somehow superior to another human because of the colour of your skin is truly the weakest of all defenses to bolster your fragile ego.

This is a truly heartbreaking story of Ahmaud Arbery who was shot and killed while out jogging by a father and son who fancied themselves as vigilantes. They have yet to be brought to justice. This is a travesty and I urge my American friends to join the fight for justice for Ahmaud. There is a petition anyone can sign at www.runwithmaud.com
